For the next steps you should have the Modeling Tools Editor Mode Plugin Enabled:

For optimization reasons you can merge static meshes using Modeling Tool

You can then set a new position of the pivot - Probably the best position of the pivot is "Bottom" but you can adjust it after this edit:

Then you can place new mesh:
